Reception of the National Holiday of March 15, the Hungarian Revolution of 1848-49 organized by the Consulate General of Hungary in Subotica.
The Hungarian national holiday, March 15, marks the beginning of the revolution and the struggle for freedom in 1848/49. against the Habsburg Monarchy. It is a day of commemoration of democratic aspirations, and in addition to the Republic of Hungary, the holiday is celebrated solemnly by Hungarians in Vojvodina and Serbia.
